1. Mom won $200 at Bingo yesterday, so she gave me and Santos $50 each. ! TIME TO BUY MORE GRAPHIC NOVELS OFF OF AMAZON. I think I'll order volumes 5-7 of Fables (since I couldn't find those at Waldenbooks last week), and maybe a volume of either The Sandman or Hellboy. Hmmmm....

2. Does anyone remember the Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? game show that used to air on PBS in the early 90's? My brother mentioned that Carmen Sandiego was going to be included in the GameFAQs Character Battle and I suddenly started having flashbacks to Rockapella singing ("Oooooohhhh, The Chase!"). XD

This show was one of my favorites when I was a kid. I used to look forward to watching this (and Ghostwriter ♥) after school while eating my usual ice-cream sandwich for a snack (I'm surprised I didn't turn into a chubby kid considering I ate this 5 days a week for like 3 years straight XDD). Also, I, um, had fantasies of becoming a criminal mastermind like Carmen. I ADMIT IT. Ahahaha, I guess I was taken in by her red trench coat and fedora (she was stylin'!).

3. PRALINE BROWNIES

Ingredients:
    Brownies:
    • 1 package DUNCAN HINES Chocolate Lovers' Milk Chocolate Chunk Brownie Mix
    • 2 eggs
    • 1/3 cup water
    • 1/3 cup canola oil plus additional for greasing
    • 3/4 cup chopped pecans

    Topping:
    • 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
    • 3/4 cup chopped pecans
    • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
    • 2 tablespoons milk
    • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps:
1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease a 9-inch square pan.

2. For brownies, combine brownie mix, eggs, water, oil and 3/4 cup pecans in large bowl. Stir with spoon until well blended, about 50 strokes. Spread in a prepared pan. Bake at 350 F for 35 to 40 minutes. Remove from oven.

3. For topping, combine brown sugar, 3/4 cup pecans, melted butter, milk and vanilla extract in medium bowl. Stir with spoon until well blended. Spread over hot brownies. Return to oven. Bake for 15 minutes longer or until topping is set. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into bars.

(Makes about 16 brownies)

I don't think I ever played the computer game of Carmen Sandiego. I've played the board game though.

But, I DEFINITELY remember playing Oregon Trail. ♥ I think out of the million of times I played OT in elementary school, I only made it to the end a handful of times. Haha, I usually ended up killing everyone in my wagon trying to make it down that river. DAMN THOSE ROCKS! That, or everyone died of rattlesnake bites and dysentery. XDD What a way to go.
