I'm not even gonna lie, as much as I love the Silent Hill games, I'd sooner chew my face off than play one in the dark. :\ Screw atmosphere! Give me the comfort of a well-lit room.
I didn't bother reading either the game box or the manual before started up a file, so I spent the first 15 minutes or so wondering why some of the characters were giving me deja vu, until I was like, "Alessa? Nurse Lisa? Dr. Kaufmann? Wait. Why do these names sounds so famil--OH YEAH, THEY'RE FROM THE FIRST GAME." I'm so unobservant sometimes its not even funny.

Since I was in the mood for Silent Hill fic (of a sort, anyway), I went back and reread The Choice You Make from the Phoenix Wright Kink Meme. Its soooo good, you guys. Being familiar with the Phoenix Wright universe definitely makes the fic extra creepy (particularly in regards to Dahlia), but even if you don't know the characters its a good read.
Why don't I have any Silent Hill icons?! Or Resident Evil ones! Or Metal Gear (beyond the ass one)! [goes off in search]
