ghostdrive: ([happy burger nightmare] Silent Hill 3)

While a portion of my flist is participating in the MGS4 Countdown, it seems I'm getting hooked back into Silent Hill games. ...Though I'm sure once SH5 comes out I'll be replaying all my Metal Gear games since I'm backwards that way. :P

Silent Hill: Origins stats:

Total enemies killed using melee weapons: 18
Total enemies killed using firearms: 11
Total enemies killed using fists: 34
Total items collected: 314
Number of map views: 490 (Haha! I get lost easily.)
Number of times saved: 35
Distance walked: 24.00 km
Total game time: 5:11:52
Total flashlight use time: 1:18:55
Number of game completions: 1
% of enemies killed with melee weapons: 29
% of enemies killed with firearms: 18
% of enemies killed with fists: 54

I managed to achieve five out fourteen accolades my first play-through: Savior, Stalker, Collector, Brawler, and Explorer. Now I'm tempted to start a new file using my save data to get the Butcher, Codebreaker, and Cartographer (looking at the map less than 25 times; I'm gonna diiiiie) accolades since I have this thing where my brain is all YOU MUST GET 100% even though I have like a million other games I should be playing. Oh, and maybe I'll get the UFO ending, too, 'cause that dog is hilarious.

× The Butcher was spooky, spooky...until you have to battle him, and then he is a weak pussy. For chrissake, every time I saw the dude he was mutilated nurses and other monsters, but the moment I face him at the Riverside Motel he seemed so slow (let's ignore the fact that I was careful to stay far, far away from him).
× I'm normally terribly jumpy when it comes to SH games, but this time I was okay. Either I've toughened up or I was correct to limit my playtime to 30-45 minute sessions.
× The ending = A+. Seriously, the moment it was revealed that the infant that Alessa was carrying at the end was Cheryl I let out a content sigh. I love how it sets up the plot for Silent Hill's backstory.
× Twobacks are the most hilarious monster ever. It looks like a couple doing it doggy style with the smaller person on top. XD
× The only critiques I have were that some of the puzzles were insanely confusing. For the life of me I could not figure out the washing machine puzzle nor the Flauros puzzle without looking at a FAQ.
