The latest issue of Playstation: The Official Magazine (July '08, issue 008) featured, as expected, a multiple-page review for Metal Gear Solid 4 (which I haven't read yet, so you don't have to worry about me accidentally revealing any spoilers--if there were any at all in it, that is), and also a 51 question quiz over Metal Gear series trivia (MGS4 not included) that I thought was kinda fun.

Ahahaha, Snake with an American flag on his face. That is so wickedly lame it's awesome 8D

I'm torn on whether or not I want MSG4. Namely, I need to play the second and third games. I only ever played the first (but I loved it) and I just recently picked up the boxset so I could become reacquainted with the games. But my biggest problem with MSG4?

Snake is old and NOT HOT.

I believe your definition of 'hot' may be unnecessarily strict.

Okay, I got two of those wrong, disregarding trick questions and ones which made no sense (AKA, the following:)

12 - NO-ONE USED STEALTH CAMO IN MG2
42 - Trick question. Virtuous Mission is the name of ONE of his missions in that game. Going by sheer volume the answer should be D - Operation Snake Eater
46 - Wounds could also be cured by saving and turning the game off for a while. They could also be cured by waiting in-game. So, technically, False.

Accepting annoying trick questions, I got 45 - Solid Snake. Although they should really realise that the kind of person who'd get a really high score wouldn't appreciate the subtle Raiden and Otacon bashing.

Okay, I stand corrected. A character did use stealth camo in MG2, but it wasn't anyone on that list, it was Night Sight/Night Fright.

Well, let me be fair. Old Snake really looks creepily like what my uncle will look like when he's that age, and it gives me the willies.

I haven't finished MGS3 yet (since I'm currently playing through all the Silent Hill games), but I really, really want to get MGS4...the only problem is that I don't own a PS3 yet. XD I've been trying to convince my brother to do the reciprocal twin thing and buy me one since I bought him an XBox 360 a couple of years ago and he owes me a big gift, but so far he has resisted my charms. XDD

And Old Snake definitely grows on you. When images/videos/whatever were first shown of the game I was kinda disappointed since I, um, don't really like mustaches (WHAT SHALLOW REASONING I HAVE), but now I think Snake looks so incredibly bad ass and attractive in an aging Harrison Ford kind of way (except that Harrison doesn't have the math teacher mustache).
