I ♥ TezuRyo fanfics.
Mar. 17th, 2005 08:38 pmI find it amusing how utterly happy I get over mere fanfiction. Sweedy-sama's Prince of Tennis fanfic Focus is one that I will literally howl with joy when I see that there is an update on it (such as what happened today when I saw that two new chapters were added. YAY!). Also, I love this fanfic because it's my absolute favorite TeniPuri pairing: Tezuka/Ryoma. (perhaps I'll make a post of my favorite pairings one day...) ♥ Some of the parts I especially enjoyed from chapter 9 were: (and I'm just gonna try and summarize these to save space)
--Momo and Kaidoh's argument over who called top in the coin toss to decide who would start the questions. "You damn viper, I called top first!" "Fucking idiot, I've always called top!" "Bullshit! Since when! I'm the one who's always called top!" Mwahaha, their conversation is so perfectly in character. I agree with Ryoma when he says they sound like a quarreling couple.
--the fact that the "senpai-tachi" are asking fairly perverted questions in order to find out exactly what is going on between Tezuka and Ryoma. OHOHOHO, they seem like voyeurs in the making.
--Ryoma's total lack of shame in answering their questions. "We were having sex." Oh Ryoma, your answer had me cracking up trying to imagine the look on everyone's faces.
--“You made out in the captain’s bedroom!” Momo vociferated in disbelief. /“Yeah. So?” /”That’s…that’s so…!” The second year sputtered. /“Inappropriate,” Kaidoh breathed. His eyeballs were protruding dangerously from his face. Once again, I crack up in laughter.
--And last, but not least: The fact that it ended in a cliffhanger with Tezuka showing up and giving everyone the stare down.
Hopefully, Tezuka won't get terribly mad at Ryoma for answering their questions. I'd hate to see them break up.
NOTE: Do not read Focus if you a).don't like (or have a problem with reading) boy/boy pairing or b.) don't like reading about sexual situations between boy/boy pairing (a.k.a. Yaoi). You have been warned, so neither flame the author nor complain about it to me. Though if you wanted I could tell you which chapters don't have sex, and you could still get the general gist of the story.
