Thanksgiving dinner planning HELL

Attempting to put together a meal plan for Thanksgiving because I'm feeling unsocial and don't want to go eat at someone else's house.

Every year we eat at some relative's house and every year I end up going home semi-hungry since they all seem to share the same boring, bland recipes. THERE'S ONLY SO MUCH DRY, WHITE MEAT TURKEY I CAN TAKE!* Alas, not even the best gravy can make dry turkey have any taste. The downside to making Thanksgiving dinner myself is that my mom says I have to make enough for 50 people.

WTF?!!! Is she expecting to invite every single damn person in the family.?!** I just wanted to celebrate with her and my brother, not with aunts/uncles/etc. who I barely speak to. The most I've ever seen show up for dinner at someone else's place is about 25. Damn you large Mexican families!

Eh, I don't know if I have the patience to cook for a large amount of people.

**Every time I cook or bake something she invites a lot of people over for some odd reason. My cooking isn't that impressive. ^^;
