As much as I love Ghost in the Shell (both the movies and tv series), I've found the episodes in 2nd GiG to be either hit or miss. Most of the time its the stand alone (or "dividual" as they call it in 2nd GiG) episodes that I like the least. Usually their pacing is too slow for me 'cause I want to see action dammit! or they'll focus on a character outside of Section 9, but last night's episode was so damn good. It actually focused on one of the characters I've wanted to know more about, Saito(h)!
...Okay, I know it seemed that I was building up to some big episode summary, but I'm too lazy to do that. XD I just wanted to ramble on briefly about a few things.
1. When the episode opened up with the Major in a suit I squealed. I have such a thing for suits/uniforms, haha. She's always wearing suits with long skirts (which I also love by the way ♥), so seeing her in a pant suit was a nice change. Plus, the Major is that strong, kick ass, femalealbeit cyborg character I LOVE. Screw those other wimpy anime girls, I'll take the Major any day.
2. I was surprised to find out that Ishikawa has been with the Major longer than Batou. I've always assumed he's known her longer since they interact like an old married couple. XD
3. At the end of the episode I had one thought running through my mind; Saito is so obviously the Major's bitch. She has him (and the rest of Section 9) in the palm of her hand.
4. For some reason I always mispronounce Borma's name. ~calls him "Bouma"~

Yes! The Venture Bros. dvd boxset comes out May 30th! Finally I'll be able to torture people with my all time favorite episode "Ghosts of the Sargasso". MWAHAHAHAHA. Any series with lines such as, "I just learned that giant clams don't like the taste of exploding robot legs," or "What kind of 'expert bodyguard' ties men up with big bows?," is a great series indeed. ♥...You know, I could quote from The Venture Bros. 'til were all tired of it, but I think I'll spare my f-list...this time. XD

The acceptance speech for The March of the Penguins group during the Oscars was cute~. They carried penguin stuffed animals with them! ♥
Also, I'm disappointed that Howl's Moving Castle didn't win for Best Animated Film. ;_;
