When I woke up this morning, I was having a dream where a character from Final Fantasy 7, Vincent Valentine, was writing out an outline for a fanfiction story. The first thought I had when I remembered this was about how utterly ridiculous it was for Vincent to write fanfiction. But then I thought, what the hell, I'll try it out myself. So under the lj-cut is part of an AU (alternate universe) story involving Vincent Valentine when he is in the Turks. Other characters included from FF7 are Reno, who was also a Turk, but at a different time period than Vincent, and Cloud Strife, the leader of Avalanche. In this story they are both in the Turks with Vincent.

This is only what I've written so far.

--------

Vincent looked younger than his twenty-seven years, and to his utter dismay, he also looked rather feminine. The young secretaries at the office enjoyed their resident pretty boy and would giggle cutely as he passed them in the halls. His colleagues were another story. Most of the Turks were men, who took great pleasure in teasing him about his looks.

It was well known that Vincent was quite possibly the greatest sharp-shooter the Turks had. It was also well known that he didn't always take joking lightly, as was evident when his fellow Turks had decided to comment that he could quote, "So girly that he could pass as a woman in one of their missions without any trouble." They had looked pointedly at Cloud Strife, their newest recruit, who flushed brightly and turned his head as he recalled "The Honeybee Inn" incident*. The other Turks laughed uproarishly at that as Vincent resisted taking out his gun and shooting the lot of them. He was about to ignore them completely when out of the corner of his eye he saw Reno saunter up to him. Throwing his arm around Vincent's shoulders, Reno smirked and talking low so that only Vincent would hear said, "Of course, Vince, it would of been better if you hadn't cut your hair. I bet all the missions involving crossdressing would go to you instead of our little cutie Cloud."

At which point Vincent went rigid and his hand hovered dangerously over his gun (the one he had dubbed affectionately "his little Quiksilver"). His blood-red eyes flashed in anger, and the other Turks took this as a sign to get out of the room as fast as they could. They may have been members of the same team, but they knew when Vincent got that way, it was best to leave him alone.

"One of these days," Vincent muttered darkly, "One of these days, I'll kill them all." As an afterthought, Vincent added, "But I'll spare Cloud. I think he's suffered enough."

--------

*The Honeybee Incident is in reference to the part in FF7 where Cloud has to dress up as a woman in order to infiltrate Don Corneo's mansion and save Aeris. Haha, I always tried to make sure Cloud got the best items for this part (such as the silk dress, blonde wig, diamond tiara, etc.) I think that part of the game was the most amusing.

As a side note, I think I use the suffix -ly too much. I may edit what I've written later. I'll possibly post more of the bits and pieces of this story that are floating around in my head. Such as why Vincent cut his hair, him teaming up with Aeris, a conversation with Reno.
