Watch out for that patch of grass, it might be a snake.
Today my mom and I went to put a little Christmas tree on my dad's grave like we do every year, but...
Mom: (pulling up the flower vase to empty it of water)
Snake: Hi! I'm in this grave, scaring the crap out of you!
Mom: OH MY GOD.
Yes, there was a little snake curled up just below the area where the vase attaches to the tombstone. So we weren't able to put up the tree since my mom's super-paranoia of snakes made her jittery until we left the cemetery (she started muttering about nightmares or something). Seriously, a breeze came in, moving the grass slightly, and she jumped.
We told a lady at the main office about the snake and she was like, "Was it a rattlesnake?" !!! SAYING THAT MAKES MY MOM EVEN MORE PARANOID, LADY.
