Me: My favorite show is ending today. If you call me, I probably won't be answering. 'Cause if I miss anything I'll be...well, I'll be kinda irritated.
Mom ...
Me: So yeah. Just letting you know. Call Santos if you need anything.
Mom: Um...okay.

I totally deserved the crazy look she gave me.

Post will be edited later with ramblings over Sozin's Comet. If I'm actually coherent, that is. [easily rendered stupidly happy by Avatar]

Me: (sets down Baroque on the counter)
GameStop employee: Nooooooooooo. You do not want this game.
Me: ...
GameStop employee: I tried this game out since I thought it'd be something interesting and...blah, blah, blah, goes on about how the title is misleading, why he didn't like the game, etc. You sure you still want it?
Me: Eh, even if I don't like it, it'll be my problem for buying it once I leave here.
GameStop employee: But are you really sure you wanna buy it? Anyway, if you decide you don't like it you can always trade it in.

Ahahaha, he seemed pretty desperate in convincing me not to get Baroque. But alas, once I get it into my head that I want a game (even if it may be terrible), it will always be added to my ever-growing collection. And sorry, dude, I've been known to keep even the crappiest of games, so I never do trade-ins. Case in point: Chaos Legion.

I also picked up Arcana Heart, a fighting game with an all-female cast, and yes, Mr. GameStop employee, I am aware that the game's target audience is male, just let me buy the games I want, please. I always choose female characters in fighting games anyway, so this game is perfect for me (plus I think its hilarious that each girl is a moe archetype XD).

I know I'm probably (sorta) complaining about the employee too much, but he actually did tell me something important. Apparently the GameStops in the Calallen area are getting copies of Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne. I WANT THIS GAME SO MUCH. Too bad I am terrible with directions and wouldn't be able to find my way. XD Seriously, ask me to find someplace I've never been to before and its like you've just shoved me out into the world with a paper bag over my head. I get lost here in Corpus! And I've lived here more than ten years!

EDIT. Conversation heard at Target the other day. (I'm guessing the boy's age since I have no idea how old he really was.)

6-year old boy: How much is this? [points at PSP]
Employee: It's $169.
6-year old boy: [silent]
6-year old boy: I have $21!

Little kids crack me up.

Last Thursday two men came into our Art History lecture to ask us about what we liked and didn't like about the Del Mar campus and the art program/building/whatever, and this one comment is the only thing I remember because I was only pretending to pay attention most of the time:

Random Student 1: We used to have a vending machine in this building. Up until someone ripped out the front coin slot section and pulled out all the money.
Random Student 2: Who is this person? The Hulk?

And, oh, I would have laughed had my voice not been all warbled and funny sounding due to my cold.

Paper-craft: Solid Snake in a Box -- Haha, awesome. I want to make this and stick it on my shelf next to my Ninja toy.

Animal Crossing capsule toys -- ADORABLE.

Animal Crossing mugs -- Too bad these are sold out or else I'd buy the K.K. Slider one for my brother since I'm always teasing him that K.K. is his long lost twin.

Game Vixens to Look Up To -- Sucky article (actually its just a list), but some of the comments are funny. Like these. )

...Somehow I only just now realized that Naru/Mitsu is the same thing as Nick/Miles in the Phoenix Wright fandom. Its so obvious!

Statue (landmark?) of Sam Houston
Taken while driving past it on the way to Dallas.

My brother thinks this picture is hilarious because of the blurry "No Parking" sign at the bottom. XD I think its hilarious that he always mistakes this as a statue of Andrew Jackson.

Other crappy photos taken on the rode. )

Gamestop Calls Customers to Ask for Zelda Back: re-orders lead to over-the-phone pestering -- I admit it, the first thing I thought when I read this was "Who in the hell trades in a Zelda game?" XD

Yes, our English textbooks are unnecessarily bulky. D:
