I was watching CNN earlier. Apparently, the terror alert in your armpits has been elevated to orange
I've gotten so used to not being talked to when I'm at the bookstore that when someone actually does I kind of freeze up. WOE TO MY LACK OF SOCIABILITY.
So I wandered into one of the manga aisles of Waldenbooks when a guy, who was standing there reading some random title--I thought at first he was reading something porn-y since he sort of turned away from me when I stepped near him, but he wasn't--, asked me whether or not volume 38 of Ranma 1/2 was released yet. (I guess he thought I'd know since I hadsix a few books in my arms and was looking in the direction of the Ranma shelf?) I told him I wasn't sure since volume 36 was the latest I've seen on the shelves, and besides, volume 23 is the last one I've personally read, blah, blah, blah. Then he asked me about the manga I was holding (one of which was Rin! which made me blanche since nothing screams "me likey the boy on boy kissums" like pastel-colored high school boys) so I vaguely babbled on a bit about Eyeshield 21. (Yeah, I gotta pimp out ES21 wherever I go.) We were both silent for a bit after this until I picked up Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories volume 2 and small talk over KH was made. ...Man, I suck at small talk.
And then I just sort of walked off without saying anything else, since, as I've mentioned already, I'm oh so sociable. D: (I could of at least said, "Nice talking to you," or something, you know. ARGH.)Yeah, I'm never gonna get a date.
Then I went to Target and bought the first season of Scrubs and the world was alright again.
