catpan
Step 1. Place cat in glass baking dish.

My cats like to sleep in odd places. Some like the top of the fridge, some like the sink, and this one prefers to stuff herself into this baking pan. Why? Because she secretly wishes to be a cake. Who knows. :)

From the May 2007 issue of EGM (#215):
Dear Fabio: I'm a 20-year-old girl gamer, but every time I bring a guy home to play games, he falls in love with my sister. What am I doing wrong? --Hannah

Fabio responds: Hannah, guys are always interested in scoring--and not just while playing video games! If you are hanging out with guys and they aren't making a move, perhaps you are sending out the wrong message. Try being more open. Guys are not very complicated.

Come on, Mr. Romance, can't you think of anything better to say. XD I should scan next month's letter just so you guys can see the totally cheesecake photos of Fabio they place alongside. XD

And here's a small portion from EGM staffer, Jeremy's, Lost in Blue (DS) review just because it makes me laugh like crazy:

Sure, you can play as either the boy or girl now, but either way you're saddled with a worthless A.I. companion who has the audacity to get annoyed when you ask him or her to pitch in to survive. There's no "lazy sack of crap" in "team", jerk.

AHAHAHAHA. Anyway, have any of you played the first Lost in Blue? I'm sorta tempted to buy it now for some reason.

Other than that, their "The Future of Videogames" themed issue was pretty lame.

  • This site has some incredibly beautiful Okami fanart. ♥ I especially like the ones of Amaterasu in human form.

  • 80 Days or Bust: One man's attempt to circumnavigate the world the old-fashioned way -- I've been reading this travel blog for a short while now and it is addicting. His details of traveling on the Trans-Mongolian railway (with its cabin crashers and smoked-filled non-smoking dining cars) are hilarious, but the following portion from his post, Big Yak Attack, killed me.

The yak, clearly, had read my blog. It was behind us now, but I stuck my head out the window and shouted a streak of trash talk that hasn't been heard round these parts since Genghis Kahn. The yak stood on its hind legs, pointed at his sharp horns, then at me, then drew his hoof across his throat, making the international sign of "you're a dead man." I told the yak to meet me here in four days, when we'd be on our way back. Four days later, no sign of the yak. He wimped out.

I LOVE HOW THIS MAN WRITES.

  • Nintendo-themed fun-house -- AWESOME.

  • Katamari cake -- I want a cake like this! So colorful!

OK....I'm stupid.

All I saw was Death Note on your Okami link.

Oh, btw I'm almost done with my Okami zodiac! Sort of. The dog, rat, snake, dragon, and ram are about to go into the kiln Fri. and will be completely done. Then the horse, tiger, rooster and rabbit are in the kiln now but have to be glazed and I'm still making the rest. I made the cat today. They're turning out very cute! =^^=

Lost in Blue has an awesome idea, but fails to implement it correctly. Of course, the game time does not equal real time, but it's completely unrealistic. Sure, it's a videogame. I just don't know how a girl, in a cave, sitting down... can get SO hungry/thirsty that she DIES in a few (game) hours. Doesn't it take DAYS to die of hunger? For being a simulation game, it's awfuly unrealistic. I really wanted to give the game a chance, I ended up trading it away, though... and I rarely do that for quirky games. Lost in Blue 2, I heard, is more of the same. But, it's worth a try if you have extreme patience, as it's an interesting idea. There was also a Survival Kids game (Lost in Blue's name in japan) for Game Boy Color.

Ok, that's the end of the long reply.

You're not stupid! I had trouble finding them at first as well, so I probably should have mentioned that the Okami ones are in the "memo" section. They're scattered throughout there (along with more Death Note and Katamari Damacy fanart), so you'll have to go back through the posts if you want to see them all. I have links to more Okami fanart sites if you're interested as well.

I'm unbelieveable excited about your zodiac set, haha. I can't wait to see what they look like! ♥

OMG. I still couldn't find them! I hate non-English sites. >< Bleh. Have better directions?

I'm so excited! The boar is the only one I have left to make. The dog, rat, horse, tiger, rooster, snake, dragon, rabbit and ram will all be completely done Monday. I'll try to take a picture of them all then. :3

I just don't know how a girl, in a cave, sitting down... can get SO hungry/thirsty that she DIES in a few (game) hours.

Haha, that sounds like my mom. Once, we got stranded on the side of the road and within an hour she was saying she was going to die of hunger. XD
