re: Avatar: The Last Airbender (3x13), The Firebending Masters

I spent the first two seasons of Avatar silently hoping Zuko would be Aang's firebending teacher--which was pretty improbable at that point; Zuko was so full of anger toward him in season one and full of ~EMO~ in the second season--and now that its near the end of the third season its finally happened! And of course Zuko loses his ability to firebend properly. I LOVE YOU OBVIOUS PLOT TWISTS.

The rest of my rambling will be done in bullet form for no reason at all.

The mere thought of Zuko riding on Appa brings a gleeful smile to my face.
Aang and Zuko are totally BFF. I love that, despite the fact Zuko joined them, like yesterday, Aang treats him no differently than he would Sokka or Toph, or anyone else he's friendly with for that matter.
Aang tries to steal Zuko's fire! Cue me grinning so hard my face hurts.
Seriously, I love all their brotherly-type bonding moments. I love it when they're pinned with slime to the gutter, I love it when they're grumbling to each other, I love it when they're just plain talking to each other, I LOVE THIS SERIES.
The scenes with the dragons are probably my favorite in the series; they're a thing of beauty, really. It gave me chills the moment the dragons came forth from their cavern hideouts, and the chills continued through Aang and Zuko's Dragon Dance and when the dragons showed them the true meaning to firebending.
Sun Warrior Chief: Now that you have learned the secrets and you know about our tribe's existence... We have no choice but to imprison you here... forever.
Aang and Zuko: ...
Sun Warrior Chief: Just kidding. But seriously, don't tell anybody.
I really want Iroh to return. ;_; And Ursa. If she's still alive. ;_;
The ending of this episode = AWESOME.
Sokka: (after Zuko and Aang demonstrated the Dancing Dragon moves) Yeah, that's a great dance you two learned there.
Zuko: It's not a dance, it's a Firebending form.
Sokka: We'll just tap dance our way to victory over the Fire Nation.
Zuko: It's a sacred form that happens to be thousands of years old!
Katara: Oh yeah? What's your little form called?
Zuko: ...The Dancing Dragon. (everybody, except Aang and Zuko, laughs)

I would ramble on more, but I need to find something to eat for dinner.
