CatBoy!Ed fanart ♥
Last night I started to sketch out a bit of fanart for Fullmetal Alchemist and here is the result:

My apologies for the crappy quality of the picture, since I don't have a scanner I used my digital camera instead (which is sometimes a pain to use). So that's why the pic is a bit skewed. And yes this was merely an excuse to draw Edward Elric with cat ears (I ♥ Catboys! I blame the catboy obsession on Loveless). Alphonse (a rather simplistic looking Al) was added to the background since his habit of hiding kitties in his armor is very amusing to me, and I think he would probably love it immensely if Ed somehow got cat ears. (As to the reason why he has cat ears....well, perhaps a botched transmutation caused them to appear, or something to that effect. And yes, I'm just pulling excuses out of my ass. I JUST WANTED CATBOY!ED.)
Oh yeah, that's just a very rough sketch, so maybe one of these days I'll draw a final product of it. So for now it's being put on the back burner along with the rough sketches of Michael from Angel Sanctuary, Kurei from Flame of Recca, a D.Gray-man one of Allen and Kanda at the park, a Tenipuri Tezuryo one based on the fanfic Focus (where they've gone fishing together and Ryoma falls asleep on Tezuka's shoulder), Vincent Valentine from FF7, Mythos from Princess Tutu .... and many more. ^^; Blah, I have a habit of starting fanart and then starting another drawing without finishing the previous one.
Kyo Kara Maoh! Volume 1:
Basically the story goes as thus: High school student, Yuri Shibuya encounters a group of hoodlums harassing a former classmate of his (If I remember his name correctly it was Ken Murata). Instead of being the one doing the saving, Yuri becomes the victim as the group turns on him and stick his head in the toilet. He is sucked into the toilet as they flush (WTF?!) and transported to another world where he is proclaimed the new Demon King.
Well....that was a lame attempt at a brief summary. Anyway, I'll admit that the first episode didn't exactly pull me totally into the KKM world (it was a rather so-so episode to me), but the following four episodes really made me fall in love with this series. And I've already chosen a pairing I like the most (which, like always, seems to be one that a small majority likes): Conrad/Yuri!
At first Wolfram got on my nerves with his constant yelling at Yuri (which reminded me of how Watanuki yells at Domeki on xxxHolic), but after Yuri unintentionally becomes engaged to him (by slapping Wolfram on the cheek...such strange customs the Demon World has) I began to really like him. I'm amused by how seriously he takes his engagement to Yuri ("How could you dance with a woman!" or "You took a BATH with him!" I ♥ Wolfram.) Gunter's affection toward Yuri is also hilarious (he tends to blush profusely around him and at one point gets a nosebleed! Keep those dirty thoughts in check Gunter *wink, wink*). And Gwendel seems so uptight and rigid that I cracked up while reading through the Character Data extra that he enjoys making stuffed animals. Stuffed....Animals....BWAHAHAHA! And of course, there's the main character Yuri...poor, poor Yuri. He's confused when he first comes to the Demon World (he even thinks he has ended up at some theme park at first) and then theres the whole "You are the Demon King" thing and a brash fiancee he has to deal with. I do like his character, even if he can be a little too naive. Those Bone Flyer thingies (I don't remember what the hell their proper name is) are quite cute even though they are nothing but winged skeletons. I enjoy how they clack their mouths up and down in the semblance of talking.
Though by far, my favorite has to be Conrad. Oh how I love Conrad. I have a thing for characters in uniform, so of course I was automatically drawn to him (and towards Wolfram in his blue uniform, but not so much towards Gwendel in his green one). I can't really explain why I like Conrad the most, I just do.
THIS SHOW IS SO FULL OF GAY, I LOVE IT.
There is a stray dog that has wandered into out yard and it seems he wants to stay. Which is no problem for my family since we've taken in and taken care of stray cats. Mom says once the dog gets better we'll take it to the vet to get him checked out (and give him a much needed Flea and Tick bath). At least he didn't wander into the neighbor's yard (who suggested he would shoot the dog and call up someone to pick up the corpse), so the dog is lucky to have ended up with us. I hate it when some people think a solution for animal control is to shoot the animal. The Human Society is there for a reason.
EDIT: Oh yeah, my ticket for A-kon came in today. WHEEEE! ♥
