That frying pan was hard...in the end he took out all six of us with that hollow sounding thing.
Since I've been catching up on Naruto scanlations I've also been reading a ton of Naruto fic--usually whatever I come across on various lj comms/journals that catches my interest, but from FF.net as well since I'm obviously a masochist. Normally when I read Naruto fic I stick to the Kakashi/Iruka side of things since, well, that's my OTP, but I've been branching out a bit.
Well, not really branching out all that much, since all the fics I enjoy have at least one thing in common (usually, anyway): Iruka. I love the man.
These are some of my favorites from these past few weeks. I would, you know, ramble on about why I like each one, but they would undoubtedly all turn into mushy love fests. I'm sure you'd all appreciate if I spared you from my dorky sighing and repeated exclamations of 'I love it, I love it'. So hopefully the summaries will suffice.
Not Normal by ShiroLight
Iruka and Shikamaru learn about each other during an unusual detention. After all, the day after the Kyuubi festival has never been as loud as the others. (Iruka, Shikamaru, small appearance by Naruto)
The Long Road Home by KakashiKrazed

Okay, I'll stop there before I get the urge to open up my Naruto fanfic bookmarks (which is--believe me--OMG large) and dump more links here. Maybe I'll just turn this post into a Master Rec List or something in the future.
