While going through two weeks worth of newspapers in my ritual of clipping out articles and comic strips that grab my attention, I noticed that I had dog-eared a section of Parade (a weekly supplement of the Sunday paper). In the AskMarilyn article entitled, "Your Most Amazing Questions", this was asked:

Don't you think--anatomically speaking--men would be more comfortable in skirts and women in pants?

Out of the many ridiculous questions asked (another being "Bats hand upside-down all the time. So why don't they get gastric reflux?"), this was the only one that made me stop and think. It seems that skirts would be more practical for men. ...well, in my mind it would seem practical, but then again I don't have a penis. After all, the Romans had no problem wearing togas. Ancient Egyptians also wore skirt-like clothing. So why wouldn't it be any different if men today wore them. (Hmm....once again I appear to be making no sense at all.) Maybe they were ahead of their time. ...But then I had horrid visions of hairy and uncrossed legs, and now skirts obviously seem like a bad choice. Sorry, I am grossed out by incredibly hairy men.

Anyone else have a comment on this?

(If anyone is interested in the other questions asked in the "AskMarilyn" article, let me know and I'll post them. Some of them are quite entertaining. ^_^)

You know what...It would be more practical for men to wear skirts. I guess they don't because of their habits and hairy legs. It's not particularly attractive.

That is a very intresting question. Never would have thought about that. Hmmm...
