Howl and a man named Snake.

ghostdriveMy cousin gave Santos his copy of the Playstation game Metal Gear Solid for free. Metal Gear Solid. FOR FREE. (*gasp* Video game sacrilege!) What the hell is that boy thinking?! That game is like the Holy Grail of PS1 games. ...Okay, so there are several games that defined the Playstation, but you must admit MGS is one of them. He gave it away because he "didn't like it". Come on, even if you don't like MGS, you have to keep it. If you're going to give up a Metal Gear game, make it Snake's Revenge for the NES.
....Scratch that. Keep Snake's Revenge, if only for its utter crappiness, but for the fact its the only Metal Gear game not developed under a Hideo Kojima team (that has to mean its actually worth something, right?).
Okay, so I'm biased toward Hideo Kojima games (Anyone play a little game called Boktai? Anybody? ...Hello? Okay, maybe not, but that's such an under-appreciated game). To me he's one of those iconic video game legends along with Shigeru Miyamoto, Hironobu Sakaguchi, Yuji Naka, Koji Igarashi, and various others I can't recall at the moment.

Last night (...er, early this morning) I finished reading Howl's Moving Castle (a post about it will be made later on) and already its effecting my dreams. Although only vague memories remain of the several short dreams had (or no memories at all in one case), one involved the storyline of the book condensed into a fifteen minute dream (for some reason Sophie was not turned into an old woman by the Witch of the Waste). Another was of Sophie and Howl sitting in the castle conversing (probably Calcifer was listening in on them). I remember nothing of what they talked about, but I can imagine much snarkiness on Sophie's part. Sophie = ♥♥♥ And the third dream... no memories at all.
Sooooo tempted to name two of my kittens Sophie and Calcifer merely because I'm on such a HMC kick at the moment. Sophie suits the white kitten, and Calcifer is such a great sounding name.I AM LAME.

Now I must go read the latest issue of OPM. Kingdom Hearts 2 is the cover story. Squeee! ♥ ♥
