Creepy crawlies

Before I get into the dream, let it be known that I despise ticks. There are ticks around the perimeter of my house (where the neighbors let their grass grow high) and there have been two occasions where I found ticks on myself after walking near those areas. Somehow, I ended up finding them on my butt. ON. MY. BUTT. How they crawled up there without my knowledge I do not know and I still get the willies thinking about it. ~shiver shiver~ There was this paranoia to even step anywhere in the grass for about a month afterward. The only reason I probably had this dream was because earlier this week I found a tick clinging to my pants leg.

So, in my dream, I'm putting my hair up into a ponytail since the heat was driving me crazy. Except there's one problem. THERE ARE TICKS ON THE NAPE OF MY NECK. I pull off about five huge, brown, wiggling ticks off my neck and put them on the kitchen table to show my mom. But before I can even call out to her, the ticks explode into light and confetti. WTF?! As comical as it is for them to explode in that manner, it was still highly gross. And as my dream self stared off in confusion, I wake up.

I swear, for about 4 hours after waking up, I could just feel things crawling all over my legs and arms.

I hate ticks.
