Oh my, is that a drug deal in progress?

So the 4th day of driving for Driver's Ed involves going downtown where the heavier traffic is, and we ended up seeing a couple of pretty weird things. First we passed by what appeared to be a drug deal in the street (I was amused by the instructor oh so calmly stating, "See that? That's probably a crack deal"). Then, as I turned the corner away from them, just down the street there were cops arresting another group of drug dealers. It was kind of funny since people were sitting on their porches just watching the scene like it was an episode of Cops. Yeah, downtown Corpus is someplace I hope to never become stranded in.

And then I got honked at for no reason at all by some jackass coming into my lane. Some people just enjoy harassing student drivers it seems.

Edited to add: Oh yeah, and we passed by a street named "Booty" that, oddly enough, had a strip club across from it. I cracked up something fierce over that. XD

There is an insurance company right next to the driving school and it has this sign that bothers me everytime I look at it. It says, "Smile your on camera!" Perhaps my short time away from school has rotted the English part of my brain, but it should be "you're" correct?

My brother just informed me that Vanilla Coke is being discontinued and Black Cherry Vanilla Coke is replacing it. I don't like vanilla-flavored drinks (to me they taste too much like vanilla frosting), but that bit of news just struck me as odd. Are they trying to compete with Dr. Pepper's (or was it Pepsi's?) cherry-vanilla drink?

My wrists ache. I wonder if the weather will change soon.

Your driver's ed is in a weird place. Mine was out in the middle of nowhere, near a track of highway where you could just loop once and get back.

Yeah, any company with such glaringly, obvious errors in their signs is probably someplace to avoid. ^^; I wonder if anyone has gone in there to complain about it to them? Must resist the urge to be a smartass the next time I'm around there.

I remember a friend of mine saying she stoped at a stop light there in the downtown area..and a bum opened her door and sat in her car saying " im not gonna hurt you I just want a ride somewhere"

freaky...
yeah she doesnt drive down there unless she has to now..
and always has her doors locked for now on..
heh!

haha "booty" street is awesome...
I remember passing that street lots of times and pervert me would shout out "HUH HUH! BOOTY!"

That bum story is mega creepy. That reminds me of this video we watched in driving school that talked about what to do if someone tried to walk up to your car and get in. I think it said to just hit the gas and get as far away as possible.

And Booty street is just so hilarious. I wonder if they have problems with people trying to steal that sign?
