Project Runway collection babble
This post is for
michachan since I wanted to show her some of the outfits from each designer's collection in Project Runway. ^____^ Note: This post is IMAGE HEAVY.
WARNING: This post will be filled with rants, raves, ramblings, randomness,and incoherent and/or repetitive comments courtesy of me. Beware, Katherine! MWAHAHAHAHA!I swear I'm not as crazy as you may think I am.
Also, I only posted about half of each designer's collection (they had 13 pieces each), so if anyone is interested, I'll put up the rest.
Blargh, photos don't do justice to some of these outfits. They looked sooo much better going down the runway.
Collection 1 :: Daniel Vosovic :: Military/Asian inspiration

1. You can't see from this photo, but the dress stops just below the model's knee. Except for the unattractive puckering near the stomach and the shoulder tabs, I rather liked this one. Also, the color is quite nice.
2. I adore this coat. ♥ I WISH IT WERE IN BLACK.
3. This dress was, by far, my favorite of Daniel's collection. This photo cuts her off above the knees, but the bottom part of the dress has a great shape to it (sort of reminds me of a Bell flower). The only things I don't like are the patch-like object just below her bust and the fact that the top is ill-fitting. Makes her look a bit wide.
4. Please ignore the "I smell a fart" expression this model is wearing. XD The top looks great though.
5. One of my least favorite outfits of Daniel's collection. I don't like the top, but the skirt is so cute. You should see the way it moves as the model walks. It swooshes. ~swoosh, swoosh~
6. The fabric used on this dress is fabulous. I wish Daniel had used it more in his collection.
7. This is Rebekah modeling Daniel's 13th dress for the end of his show. Again, I don't like the patch in the front, but other than that the dress is soooo pretty. The backing to this is what I like the best. Too bad you can't see it from this photo. ^^;
OVERALL: Simple and elegant. Had a somewhat cohesive theme. In the end his collection was my second favorite.
Collection 2 :: Chloe Dao :: [Her Fantasy] Evening wear

1. At first I was not a fan of this voluminous outfit, but its actually grown on me now. It falls to about mid-thigh, and there's a gold mini-dress underneath. Quite a dramatic start to her show.
2. ARGH! This model's expression drove me crazy. She just kept her mouth open the entire time. Okay, getting back to the outfit. Very cute and youthful. I liked the splash of pink the belt brought out. I adore Chloe's choice in accessories for her line. The gold bangles/bracelets suited the line nicely.
3. ~laughs~ I think this is the one Santino compared to a sofa. Chloe's use of shrugs gave a sense of strength and drama.Whoooo! I sound like a pretentious fashion critic. Probably my least favorite of Chloe's line.
4. I LOVED THIS MODEL'S HAIR COLOR. ♥ The gold trim on the pants threw me off a bit, but I like the nice tailored look of this suit.
5. Once again Chloe proves she is the Queen of pattern-making. Its hard to make out in these photos, but believe me, the lines to this dress are amazing. Favorite areas: the cut-outs in the front and back, the lace at the bottom.
6. Yet another of Chloe's designs with fabulous lines. ♥ There is an open back to this dress. Oh, and the color is LOVE.
7. MY FAVORITE DRESS OF THE SHOW AND OF PROJECT RUNWAY AS A WHOLE. ~coughs~ Sorry about that outburst. XD This is Grace (who I love to pieces!) modeling Chloe's 13th outfit of the show. Its floor length and the shape to the whole dress just wows me. I soooo wish you could see the back! Gorgeous from head to toe~. ♥
OVERALL: Heavy fabrics and highly structured designs. I was blown away by the quality of Chloe's work. I hope she has tremendous success in the future.
Collection 3 :: Santino Rice :: 1940s/old Hollywood/boudoir

1. Cute, youthful, and feminine. I like the color a lot. ♥ Probably my favorite of Santino's collection.
2. Liked the lace used in the bodice and the cut out to the back of this dress. Though I'm not a fan of the color. ^^;
3. ...I don't have much to say about this one. She reminds me a bit of Little Red Riding Hood for some reason.
4. Love everything below the bust. To me the top takes away from the prettiness of the dress.
5. Eek! My least favorite of Santino's collection. The sleeves flapped like the model was about to fly off from the runway. Probably the most Santino-esque of his designs.
6. Heather wearing Santino's 13th (and ending) outfit of the show. Another favorite of mine from his collection. I wish you could see a full-length pic of this! The pleating (star pleating?) to this brought nice texture to the fabric.
OVERALL: Probably the least professional looking of the three because of his ill-fitting tops (since he did not have time to tailor them to his models before the show). Not a cohesive collection in regards to its theme.
Phew! With this post, I swear that my ramblings over Project Runway have come to a conclusion. ...Well, until season 3 that is. XD

Though, since season 2 just ended, its time slot has been replaced by Top Chef. ^^; But, the good thing is that it'll probably still be in rotation on Bravo for a while since the show was very successful (since I've noticed they've had Project Runway marathon days lately). I hope you're able to see it! =D

Daniel's went well but it was kinda dull, nothing that exciting. I do like that jacket though.
Santino had some nice sutff, especually his final dress, that's gorgeous.
I finally got around to looking at these!! Glad I did too.
I wish I got Bravo!!!!! Arrrg.
