So I finally got around to watching Advent Children yesterday. ♥ I really liked it...though I may be biased since I'm quite a FF7 fangirl. XD The animation, of course, was gorgeous, even if some of the characters movements were stiff at times. As for the voice actors...well I'll get to that later. :D

Thoughts/comments that went through my head while watching Advent Children. BEWARE THE INCOHERENCY. Also, these comments go in order from when I first started the movie, until the end. So hopefully anyone who's watched AC knows which parts I'm referring to. ..If not, you'll probably be confused. XD

So amused by Loz's ring tone. XDD I seriously burst into laughter when I heard "Victory Fanfare" playing. So cheesy, Loz! XD I LOVE YOU, even if you are a crybaby.

Damn, how many swords does Cloud motorcycle, Fenrir, hold?! Its insane.

Shadowcreepers are crazy, cool looking.

Oh man, I LOVE Kadaj's movements. ♥ He's so inhumanly graceful and sort of has a serpentine way of walking. [is completely entranced by him]

Vincent's overly dramatic entrance? AWESOME. I played this part over like a million times. :3 I loved how his cape swirled and danced around.

Also, the Forbidden City looked amazing. The trees, the atmosphere, just looked so cool and beautiful.

More Vincent love: His dramatic way of swinging his cape open to show Marlene he didn't have a phone was quite funny and cute. Also cute was when Marlene hid under his cape. ♥ AH, THE CUTENESS KILLS ME. Oh how I loved the interactions between the two. ♥

Phrase most commonly uttered by me for the first 30 minutes or so of the movie: "ARGH, stop running away, Cloud!"

Everyone in Midgar dresses like a bum, which, I guess, isn't too surprising considering their dilapidated surroundings.

Reno and Rude are such a comedic duo. I loved any scene with the two together. ♥ Case in point: Reno unintentionally smacking Rude in the face with his weapon, the look on Rude's face as he fell, and then Rude standing up while holding his nose. XDDDDDD I laughed 'til I cried, and watched this scene repeatedly. LOOOOOVVEEEE.

Reno = HILARIOUS. His way of running, his antics, the kid sticking her fingers up his nose, the way he climbs buildings like a MONKEY. Again, I ♥ Reno.

Rude got hit on the head with a sign! WTF?! Poor guy. XDDD And then he caught Reno as he came falling down from a building (while fighting Yazoo). ROFL. Man, those two gained like 10,000+ points of greatness from me.

Yet another Reno/Rude moment: The incredulous look on Rude's face when Reno steps on his sunglasses. XD I suppose it's Turk etiquette to carry an extra pair around like Rude does. XDDDD

First thought that ran through my head when Barret first spoke: "Is he Mr. T?" You sound so ghetto Barret. XD

Cait was riding Red XIII! So cute~!

Yuffie's moment of motion sickness (after she parachuted in) was a nice touch. I love any little reference to the game.

"Where can I buy a phone?" Oh Vincent, I LOVE YOU.

Everyone in AVALANCHE has INSANE jumping skills. Kind of like everyone in X/1999.

WTF, Cid used his spear to throw Cloud up into the air! Damn, AVALANCHE is full of strong men. Anyway, the whole battle against Bahamut SIN was awesome. ♥ I ♥ed any part of the battle that included Vincent, Yuffie, or Cid. Those three are love.

I'd like to note that everyone's skin tone looked kind of sickly. But I suppose that the one downside to being OBSCENELY BEAUTIFUL. I swear everyone has fabulous hair and a great set of lips.

Rufus is badass. He falls off the building and yet he still manages to pull out his gun and shoot at Kadaj. You, Mr. President, are awesome. But your pants are hella atrocious.

To show what an utter Turk fan I am, I clearly remember Tseng and Elena's very brief moments of screen time (they had, what, like 10 seconds on screen?). TURK LOVE.

Loz flung his motorcycle with his MIGHTY LEG POWER like it was nothing. Loz, you may be a big crybaby, but you are damn strong.

Note to self: Motorcycles in the Advent Children world and SUPER mobile and resilient. You could crash into a wall and nary a dent would appear on one.

Damn, Kadaj, you be badass with the way you fight with one arm holding a sword and the other holding onto "Mother". Talk about multi-tasking.

"That Cloud is a royal pain in the ass. Like Always." You said it Yuffie. ♥

Sephiroth!

Vincent has beautiful hair. Though he looks incredibly stiff standing there with his arms folded. I guess he makes up for this in how wise he is. ♥

I really, really like the group photo at the end. ♥

Overall, I liked most of the English voice actors. Particular stand-outs were Reno (♥!), Rude, Cloud, Marlene, Kadaj, Loz, Yazoo, Sephiroth, Yuffie, and Tifa. They sounded great. ♥ Also good were the voice actors for Rufus, Denzel, Barret, Reeve, Zack, Tseng, and Elena.

I was rather ambivalent toward Vincent and Red's voice actors. Vincent's was a bit too gravely/gruff from my taste; I prefer him to have a deep, smooth voice (like his Japanese seiyuu ♥) Though, I think Red's British(?) accent kind of suited him--maybe. The two voices I did not like were Aerith's and Cid's. I DISLIKE SOUTHERN ACCENT CID. Argh. As for Aerith, Mena Suvari was bland, bland, bland. Way to show some emotion there, Suvari. [rolls eyes]

In this post I have utterly abused the ♥ symbol. XD

EDIT. Argh, this post was full of typos (and is probably still full of them). I turn into a rambling mess when I get excited, haha.

UGH, I know. It's like she didn't even try to put any warmth in her voice and instead emoted this fake sweetness. Blargh. The Japanese seiyuu was like a million times better than Suvari. ...Though I'm a big Maaya Sakamoto fan so I could be biased there. XDD I'm fairly certain it was Aerith though. I think. w00t! An excuse to watch the movie all over again!

If he had said that I seriously would have forgiven him for having that awful Southern accent. Cid + goddamn tea = AWESOME. ♥ Also if he had carried around a mop as his weapon. XD Oh man, I crack up over Cid fighting with a mop.
