I thought everyone saw these things. I always kind of wondered what it was but I never even thought to google it, I wouldn't have known how to describe it. Floaters....hmmmm, I have learned something new!!! :D
Haha, if it weren't for some newspaper article I read many, many years ago I wouldn't have been able to describe them either. "Wait, they're like these little squiggles that move around in your vision! But they're see through!" Yeah, that sounds so crazy. XD
I know that floaters are kinda common, but since I'm the only one in my family who sees them I was curious as to how many people on my flist saw them as well. I never hear anyone else talk about them (besides my eye doctor who I haven't visiting in more than two years. I NEED A NEW GLASSES, LIKE, RIGHT NOW), so I was actually surprised that the "Yes" option got the most votes.
But you know that picture in the wikipedia article that shows, what they call, a "severe case" of floaters? That's basically what I see whenever I look at the sky and it doesn't seem so severe to me. XD
As for how this topic came about...well, I take forever to fall asleep at night, so I often just think about totally random things as I'm lying in bed. XD
Yeah it does! I always described them as cell-like. Like you're looking inside your body or something. XD Which I think makes less sense.
I've never even asked anyone about them I don't think. Maybe Sara but I don't recall. I need to go to the eye doctor too so I can renew my contacts. UGH. I hate the eye doctor because of that darn puff machine. It scares me!!! DX
Yeah it doesn't look so severe, maybe if you see them all the time it is. I don't see them that often. usually only around sunlight and even then it has to be more specific. I'm not sure what triggers it.
Hahahaha, I think of random things too. My big thing is Cryptozoology and UFOs at night though. Do you ever watch Monster Quest on the History channel??? It's basically amazing. XD
Oh you must!!! It's usually really good. Sometimes they have some lame ones like the mystery dog episode. But if you ever see a rerun of the Giant Squid episode watch it!!! It's awesome.
Wednesdays at 9pm and a repeat at 1 am. And they tend to have marathons some days. Usually on the weekend it seems.
