ghostdrive because I misspelled a Ghost in the Shell term, 'ghostdive", in a a rename poll I made last January (lol) and then decided I liked the misspelling better (hell, its certainly better than my old username). I have a crazy attachment to GITS, even though my understanding of the philosophy of the series as a whole waffles between kinda understanding and complete puzzlement (e.g. the Laughing Man, Puppetmaster, the evolution of the Tachikomas. Once I think I'm starting to understand, something pops up to derail my train of thought).
2. My name is _____ because ______.
Ghostdrive because it is a convenient choice until I decide on something better. XD Previously it has been Semper Fidelis Tyrannosaurus! and Catches tigers in red weather. I tend to rotate between these three names every few weeks or so.
3. My journal is titled ____ because ____.
Catches tigers in red weather is from a pretty abstract, almost nonsensical poem, Disillusionment of Ten O'Clock, by Wallace Stevens. I should probably note that I am not a fan of poetry. At all! So I'm kinda surprised this one stuck out to me when I was bored out of my mind in a composition classthat I later dropped. This journal is full of pretty random stuff so I suppose it fits.
4. My friends page is called ____ because ____.
Van Buren is no friend of mine. It...doesn't make sense, I know, unless you, too, like to read crazy webcomics about dead presidents and other historical figures.
5. My default userpic is ____ because ____.
Natsuo and Ritsuka taking a tea break, for no other reason than it is bright and colorful and sorta matches my layout.

Also, am I the only one irritated by the quarterback from the Teikoku Alexanders? No offense to Karin, but my first thought was something akin to, "WTF. Is this where ES21 goes down the crapper?!Please don't crash and burn like Tenipuri. PLEASE." This is a plot twist that I'm not liking so far.

Date: 2008-04-10 02:06 am (UTC)I know ES21 has unrealistic elements to it, but the idea of a female quarterback seems so lame to me. Especially if it turns into a "I'm a meek and mild girl, but a total TIGER ON THE FIELD" type of storyline. :\
