I was gonna type out a big post about A-Kon, but fuck that, I'm lazy! So please enjoy these cosplay pictures I took and whatever random commentary I decide to put here. ♥

The bad thing about A-Kon being so big is that you would glimpse someone who looks so incredibly awesome one minute, and when you turned back to take their picture they were gone forever. There was an Otacon who looked so in character, but ARGH. I didn't get to take his photo. And sometimes I'd pass by a cosplayer several times, struggling to remember who they were, and just as I would figure it out I'd never see them again (ex. a Watanuki complete with Mugetsu around his neck. He was very adorable). ;_; And other times I'd spot someone that I was just too intimidated to approach. Like a Godot (who looked so much like the actual character it was like he stepped out of the game) who was surrounded by such a large group of male friends that I felt like I would be disturbing them.
I would babble on about some others that I saw, but since that would take too long, check out all the photo galleries from the site if you're interested in seeing more. ..Okay, so maybe I'll babble on about one: there was a Hojo walking around with a mysterious (plastic) syringe full of some greenish liquid in the foodcourt of the Plaza of the Americas Mall. It was hilarious!

Her staff lit up! It was awesome.

This Jack Sparrow was hilarious! He moved around just like the dear Captain, swaggering around and waving his arms just so, but he talked just like a California surfer boy. XD

Check out that yawning guy in the back, haha.

You wouldn't know it from this awful photo, but this Beedrill was pretty cool. I'm sorry for making you look so bad, Beedrill!

AHHHH, ITS KLAVIER. AND APOLLO. I kinda swooned over the both of them (in my head, of course). ♥

PEDOBEAR! Any area Pedobear entered came to a dead halt due to the mass of people with cameras (me included) rushing in. After I took this shot, Pedobear took off, presumably to grope more con-goers.

Katara and Zuko! I love Avatar cosplayers. ♥

Of course, just as I took his picture, Darth Vader had to move out of his pose. D:

After I snapped this shot I realized this Dante was accompanied by a Trish cosplayer, and I felt a bit silly that I didn't notice her before.

Another bad photo courtesy of me. XD This Sephiroth was very, very tall.

Such bored looking Spartans. XD Wait, is that a cellphone in his loincloth?

Ronald McDonald loves him some anime conventions.

I WISH I HAD TAKEN MORE PHOTOS. But honestly, I get burned out pretty quickly at these sorts of events. [delicate]
------
RANDOM MOMENT: At one point, as an elevator opened up, someone called out, "Hey pretty lady!" and since I'm so used to being mistaken for a kid at these things it didn't click in my head that he was talking to me until after I stepped off onto the first floor and realized OH HEY, I WAS THE ONLY GIRL THERE. I'm sorry for acting like a frosty bitch, dude!
And what's a con without buying random shit you probably don't even need!

× Three Legend of Zelda t-shirts
× Catbus plushie (with two mini Totoros inside!)
× Set of Twilight Princess gashapon (4 figures). Will post pics of them once I put them together.
× Two Ghibli mascots (keychain-type-cameo-thing + circular tin); one Kiki's Delivery Service and one My Neighbor Totoro. The contents of the tins were a mystery, so I had a one in six chance of getting the keychain I really wanted. I ended up getting my second least favorite of the Totoro one (I got Mei, who is a character I find kinda annoying), and my favorite from the Kiki one (Jiji!).
× Two posters; one Hot Fuzz and one Shaun of the Dead. I am weak against the fabulous trio of Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, and Edgar Wright.
× Dragon Incarnate, a Gackt photobook. Basically its Gackt looking inhumanely beautiful (as always) in Heian-era fashion and long hair. Seriously, its like they took a random list of things I enjoy (Gackt? Check. Attractive men with girly hair? Check. Historical dress? Check.) and created something out of my dreams. ♥
× Sex Pistols vol. 5
× Love Mode vol. 4
× Meiji Fruit Drops, you know, that hard candy Seita and Setsuko ate in Grave of the Fireflies before they ever so slowly died of starvation. :| I am a strange person who enjoys collecting glass bottles and random tins.
× Puchirin Kompeitō
