Attack of the bad joke.

Just because I enjoy making fun of the stuff Gina (aka my dear friend grod8404) says, here's a snippet of the conversation we had today:

Me: Is that your phone ringing? (We were talking on our cell phones.)

Gina: No, we're at Hu-Dat's. I don't know Hu-Dat is calling.


GAH!! Such a bad joke. But you know I love you anyway.

I'm an anime dork.

Today I watched two dvds: Saiyuki RELOAD vol.1 and Samurai Champloo vol. 1. I don't really like the voice actors on Saiyuki RELOAD. I guess it's because I'm used to the voice actors from the first series. Sanzo's voice is okay, but I prefer David Matranga as opposed to Lex Lang for his voice actor. I enjoy Matranga's perpetually pisses sound he gave Sanzo, and for some reason I associate Lex Lang to Sanosuke Sagara from Rurouni Kenshin (which is the first voice I heard him do.) As for the other 3 main characters: Goku, I absolutely hate the new voice; Gojyo, is okay, but I prefer Illich Guardiolla; and Hakkai, is also okay, but doesn't have the same quality as Branden Hunt's voice. You know you like anime too much when you develop preferences for voice actors. Though, I absolutely LOVE the voice actors on Samurai Champloo. They are so perfect.

Anway, here are some of my favorite lines (or parts) from these two dvds:

Saiyuki RELOAD
Hakkai, Gojyo, and Goku: "I want to beat the crap outta him." In regards to them wanting to beat up the fake Sanzo, since they would never dream of touching the real one. He would try to kill them if they laid a hand on him.

When Sanzo faints like a little girl in Jeep from his cold 'cause he's yelling too hard at Gojyo and Goku. The way he swoons to the side is hilarious.

Samurai Champloo
Episode 2: when Jin goes to the hot spring.
Man from the teahouse (who's name I can't remember)"Beautiful aren't they? Do you know why fireflies glow like that? It's a form of communication by the males and females to attract one another. However, they say every once in a while, a male will try to attract another male." Gives a look to Jin at this point.
Jin: "....Time to go."
.......Haha, I laughed hysterically at this. Poor Jin.

Episode 3: when Jin has to dress as a geisha to get into a yakuza boss' brothel.
Sosuke: "You look pretty good in that outfit."
Jin: "It's quite uncomfortable."

Also when some of the guards have Jin play the shamisen he has, they pissed off look on his face as he angrily strums the instrument is soooo funny.

After Jin and Sosuke whip off their disguises to fight the guards (who are surprised they aren't a woman and an old man):
Guards: "Crossdressers....I mean, double crossers!" Haha, that line is so perfect.
