Trying to wait patiently for my The Last Window: The Secret of Cape West game to come in--FAILING. I'm mostly sure its never getting a US release, despite its predecessor getting very positive reviews, so I ended up ordering the European version. Hurray for the Nintendo DS being region free! I'm really looking forward to finding out more about Kyle Hyde, especially since Hotel Dusk is one of my favorite DS games.

I've been playing a ton of Persona 3: Portable, as the female MC. Its rather nice to be able to choose the gender of the main character. I think I'll ramble on about it for a little bit.

• I'd forgotten that Shinjiro died so soon after he came back to the team, so by the time I remembered this during mid-September game-time I tried to jam in as much social ranking time with him that I could. I got up to rank 8--so close to completion! He was just about to admit his feeling to female MC and this just made his death worse, I think. Sadness.
  
• I'm glad the anime cutscenes were replaced since those things were shit in the original.
  
• Having cameos from characters from Persona 4 was a nice touch. Yukiko was adorable!
  
• Theodore! He is a hoot. He's so unaware of the world outside the Velvet Room, which makes taking him around the city a riot. He's such a dork.
  
• The ability to control your teammates yessss.
  
• I'm glad the option of part-time jobs was given. They not only provided additional cash, but also a chance to increase stats!
  
• The whole social ranking thing was revamped, right? It seems much easier to rank up this time around.

It’s based off the idea of 1000 [origami] cranes, excepted modified a bit to be 1000 koalas, and 1000 hamsters. 1000 cranes symbolizes peace and happiness and love, and in some cultures, is supposed to grant a wish. So with Zhou Mi’s throat problems, and SJM’s comeback, the two boys are going to need all the happiness and love they can get.
