ghostdrive1. Went to Waldenbooks and picked up the following trade paperbacks:

I've been behind with reading those Bleach scanlations. XD I was gonna start Death Note too. Well I did start it. Read V1 & 2 but no more than that.....NOW I'm reading HUGE, DEPRESSING Tsubasa spoilers for the latest Chpt. AHHHHHHH.

Date: 2006-07-10 02:39 am (UTC)The plot of Eyeshield 21 revolves around a physically unassuming and non-assertive boy named Sena Kobayakawa who enters the high school of his choice, Deimon Private Senior High School, where his childhood friend Mamori Anezaki, one year older than Sena, already attends. His only remarkable physical abilities are his running speed and dodging techniques, which catches the eye of the high school's American football team captain Yoichi Hiruma. Sena was then forced into playing as the team's running back by Yoichi.
To protect his identity (on the basis that other teams will try to lure Sena to their school teams) Sena is forced to assume the role of team secretary, and enter the field with a helmet featuring a green-tinted eyeshield to hide his features. The anime revolves around the adventures and misadventures of the football team as they acquire other characters and compete in local tournaments leading up to the "Christmas Bowl", the high school football championship.
Okay, so the above summary seriously downplays how AWESOME Eyeshield 21 is. I swear its like one of my FAVORITE titles out there. I adore its very diverse (and often wacky) cast of characters. I adore Sena for his loyalty and his never give up attitude (despite his small physique, he's constantly striving to become a better person and player).
Seriously, if Sena were a real person, I'd SO marry him in a second. XDI'm utterly amazed at how into the football matches I get (I do believe in a previous post I mentioned the NASA Aliens match made me almost explode in my seat XD). I just love Eyeshield 21. ♥ x infinity. Oh, and the Captain, Hiruma, is so crazy and sadistic (he carries around a notebook with blackmail material on EVERYONE) that it makes me laugh hysterically. ...I could further rave over more characters, but I'll spare you for now. XDD...Wow, I'm rambling again. XD Maybe I'll make a post about ES21 so I can further explain myself without sounding completely crazy. XDDD
I'm WAY behind on Bleach scanlations. I'm only on volume 13 (chapter one hundred something), so I'm like 100+ chapters behind. -_-; WILL I EVER GET CAUGHT UP? I'm glad Death Note finally ended so it'll be easier for me to d/l the chapters I need (or maybe I'll just wait for the Viz issues since I've been utterly surprised at how good their translations, are and their relatively speedy releases). Do you like Death Note?

I think I left off on 226 but I think they're at like 234 now but that's still not very far considering last time I read was late May! AHHH they're so slow to be released. But it can't be helped.
Yeah I liked Death Note! It was addicting. I just have to see how anymore obsessed he can become with the Death Note. I left off on Chpt. 17 I think? But Sara's buying it so I'm gonna bum it off her for awhile. The next book is waiting for her at Waldenbooks right now infact.

LOL at bumming Death Note off of Sara. I wish my brother were into manga then I could bum series off of him. XD
Ooohh, things get interesting for Light after chapter 17~. I just finished rereading volume 6 and I'm sooo looking forward to volume 7 since that's when a MAJOR event happens. (Coincidentally, I also stopped downloading scanlations after this part. Haha, I seriously had a total WTF! moment at chapter 58.)

How many volumes are there? I thought there was like 8? Am I sadly mistaken?
