Success! I finally managed to catch a tarantula in Animal Crossing: Wild World. ♥ Haha, catching new bugs and fish in AC makes me oddly happy. XD

In other bug-related news, while me and my brother were trying to kill a roach last night it somehow managed to crawl inside of my pant leg. INSIDE MY PANT LEG. [shudders] Never before have I flailed around so wildly. After flinging that damned roach halfway across the room, I stomped on it, and then flushed it down the toilet. Mwahahaha, it was rather satisfying. X3 Also, when I was outside earlier, a little spider started chasing me. I think the bugs are ganging up on me.

Beat Boktai: The Sun is in Your Hand again (after not touching the game for nearly a year). Gained the Phantom Frame and also unlocked the mini-game at the end. Now I'm tempted to play it for a third time just so I can try and get the Chaos Battery. I CAN NOT RESIST BOKTAI. Still, I need to find a way to get around the Solar Sensor. I hate sitting outside in the sunlight during major boss battles. Me + Heat = NOOOOOO!

I had forgotten how much I loved Django and Sabata. They're just so cute! I now have the urge to draw them. :3 Tomorrow I'll get started on the sequel, Solar Boy Django.

In Animal Crossing I can't figure out how to catch bugs and fish & get fossils ...I just sorta gave up on it and felt really dumb. XD

Help?

I'll be gone 'till Fri. So I can't reply to this until then...

You have the one for the Gamecube right (or do you have the Nintendo DS version)? Haha, I don't know why I'm asking since both versions are pretty much done the same way. XD

Catching bugs: You need the net (of course), and bugs can be found on trees, flowers, the ground, flying around, etc. Generally, if they are on trees or the ground you'll need to walk up to them slowly so they won't run off. For the ones that fly around (butterfles, dragonflies), they're faster so its better to run after them. Just aim your net in the bug's direction, and cast away.

Catching fish: Look for black shadows in the water (whether it be the pond(s), ocean, river, whatever) and walk up to where the shadow is. Don't run to it or you'll scare the fish away. Cast your rod out (its better to cast it just in front of the fish) and wait until it bites (your bobber will go underwater when this happens). Once the bobber goes down, pull back on your fishing pole and you should have successfully caught a fish. ♥ Timing is the key to catching fish. If you pull up your line too fast or too slow the fish will swim away.

Fossils: Look for star-shaped brown marks (anywhere from 3-5 of 'em show up each day) in the ground and use your shovel to dig up whatever is in that spot. Sometimes you get fossils, sometimes you get Gyroids. Oh, as for having your fossils identified, if you have the GC version you'll have to send a letter to the Farway Museum with you fossil enclosed in it. They'll send you a letter back with your identified fossil. In the DS version, just visit Blathers at the museum and he'll identify it for you.

Oh yeah, and all bugs, fish, and fossils can be either sold to Tom Nook or donated to the Museum.

If you need any more help, just let me know. :)

Snuck onto the internet....=)

Well I get the idea but see the problem is I don't have the net, he rod, or he shovel.

Where do I get them? Tom Nook neve seemed to have them but that's what makes sense? Did I just catch he shops on of days?

Oh and how do I visit another town??? I got on the train and then it just sort of reset itself.

Yeah, the fishing rod, net, and shovel are sold at Tom Nook's store. Each day he has a different one up for sale (or none for sale on certain days), so yeah, you probably walked into the shop on a bad day(s). XD

As for visiting another town, you'll have to have a friend who also has an Animal Crossing save file on their own memory card. Put both of the memory cards in your Gamecube, talk to Porter at the train station, and then you'll be able to visit the other person's town. (Here's an FAQ (http://db.gamefaqs.com/console/gamecube/file/animal_crossing_visiting_moving.txt) from Gamefaqs for more information.)

OOooh OK. I'll have to go check again.

I made a new game on my other card and tried and it STILL didn't work. Maybe I did something wrong.....Ugh. When I get home I'll go play with it maybe.

I've only seen a tarantula and a scorpion (i think) 1 time (each). And I'm the only one that has seen them... neither Val or my nephews have seen them. I still haven't caught a bee, I'm not fast enough with my stylus actions!!!

Roach in pant leg = death, for me.

I really want to give Boktai another chance, I think I may like it. Black lights are UV, I think. Or some forms of them. If not, UV is used on manicure lamps. Whee! Keep it away from your skin!

I've only seen the scorpion once too. It stung me as I was fumbling around with my net. XD (I kind of suck at handling the net.) And I haven't caught a bee either! I've even tried the bee catching tip from this Animal Crossing site (http://www.animalxing.com/tipstricksww.php) and I still can't get the timing right. Damn those fast bees! Have you caught an ant yet? Ants seem like they'd be so simple to catch, but I just can't find them anywhere in my town.

While I was flailing around, Santos just stood there staring at me. I'm pretty sure he was thinking he was lucky the roach didn't go in his pants. -_-;

So lights using UV are the key to tricking the Solar Sensor? Hmmm... I think I need to buy me a new lamp then. XD So tired of being a sweaty, sweaty person outside.
