If there's one guilty pleasure I have in life, its Korean boy bands. I understand not one word of their songs and yet I can't get enough. meitachi recently did a big and incredibly awesome post on Big Bang so I thought I'd pick through my cds and upload a few of my favorite tracks.

We Are The Future -- H.O.T
Full of Happiness -- H.O.T.

H.O.T. was made up of Kangta, Moon Hee Jun, Lee Jae Won, Tony An, and Jang Woo Hyuk. They were popular in the late 1990s and, like all boy bands worldwide, went through phases of bad clothing and awful hairstyles (OMFG). In 2001, they disbanded with Kangta and Hee Jun setting off on solo careers, and the others leaving to form JTL. Btw, H.O.T. stands for "High-Five of Teenagers". GUYS, THIS MAKES ME LAUGH LIKE YOU WOULDN'T BELIEVE. Damn, I love Korean groups and their acronym names. Yes, I'm looking at you Baby V.O.X, S.E.S, etc.

One Night Lover -- JTL
A Better Day -- JTL

I guess I can't really call JTL a boy band since they had only three members and focused on hip-hop/R&B, but seeing that they were made up of the remaining members of H.O.T I tend to associate them with their former group. Sorry, guys. XD JTL released two albums (plus that one 1.5 album Love Story that I never bought) before they themselves broke up to start solo careers.

EDIT. Okay, listening through all my Korean cds these past couple of days has got me on this big K-pop kick and now I'm looking for Rain mp3s. Anyone have any they're willing to share? I will throw many ♥s in your direction. XD

EDIT.2. ARGH. I screwed up the JTL links somehow. Will upload those two again tomorrow. Done.

Mmm Kangta & Vanness' Scandal makes me laugh a lot. In a good way! ♥

I have about 20+ Rain mp3s I can zip and send you. Mediafire okay? (This might not be up 'til tomorrow though 'cause I'm lazy.) Oh Rain, I love you and I love how Korea loves to mock you. There's a youtube clip of T.O.P from BB mocking him, hee.

The only H.O.T song I have is "Candy" and the MV for it really kind of broke my brain. @_@

Mediafire is fine with me. ♥ I love the parody Stephen Colbert did on Rain after the "Time's Top 100 Most Influential People" came out online.

Haha, H.O.T. seems to have alot of MVs that are brain-breaking worthy. The one for "Full of Happiness" involves them dancing around a tennis court and for "We Are The Future" they're dressed in outfits that look like red satin pajamas (and it involves kids getting beat up in school? It makes no sense!).

Okay, so I was re-watching the "Candy" music video (since its been several years since I last saw it) and I can see how it broke your brain! The over-sized overalls, other blindingly bright clothing, and furry gloves (haha, Kangta's pink ones!) are definitely...

...Man, I don't know how to describe it. XD

[cough]"We Are the Future" is so much better than "Candy".[cough] Hope my not so subtle subliminal message works. XDD
