Before I read all the glowing reviews floating around my f-list, I totally expected Iron Man to be one of those so-so superhero movies with Robert Downey Jr. playing a not so convincing Tony Stark. But how wrong I was!

It was such a great movie, quite possibly the single greatest superhero film ever. The pacing, the special effects, the sheer energy the cast brought forth made Iron Man pure love for me. Love~. And now I can't imagine anyone else but Robert Downey Jr. as the title role. Go watch it now if you haven't! ♥ And hey, even my mom, who has no interest in movies based on comic books and who usually falls asleep at any movie I take her to, thought it was fun and interesting. Iron Man has the Parental Seal of Approval. XD

I also knew from my f-list to stay until after the credits, so now I understand those "Snakes on an Iron Man" jokes people have been making. XD My mom and I were the only ones who did stick around for the end credit sequence, and the cinema employees turned the lights on before turning them off again once they realized we were still sitting there. It was kinda embarrassing. XDD

So the day was pretty awesome....except for this: I made the BIG mistake of drinking a large cola (and as you all know, a large at the movies is like an extra-extra-extra large compared to drinks anywhere else) when the only meal I'd had for the day was a small breakfast, so about halfway through the film the caffeine suddenly hit my system--Bam! It was like my heart wanted to rush out of my chest. I missed about 5-8 minutes of the movie pacing around a bathroom while trying to calm myself from a possible caffeine induced anxiety attack. :\ I was okay, but it definitely was not a good feeling. Next time I'm only getting water.

Other movies I'm interested in seeing in the next few months (and their release dates):

× Speed Racer, May 9
× Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, May 22
× Hancock, July 2
× Hellboy II: The Golden Army, July 11
× Dark Knight, July 18
× The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon EmperorM, August 1
× The Happening, June 13

And a few from the maybe list: The Incredible Hulk (June 13), Mongol (June 6), The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (May 16).

EDIT. I CAN'T STOP LAUGHING OVER THE LATEST PENNY ARCADE.

You know, several of my friends have said that they didnt actually think Iron Man looked any good (I'm kind of in the same position), but they ended up going to see it and saying that it was just the opposite.
So I think I'll have to change my mind and actually go and see it. Being the superhero dork I am. XD And I cant wait for Indiana Jones! ♥ (or the others you listed).

I heard they were making a Justice league movie, along with a Wonder woman and Flash movie too. :D

The trailers for Iron Man were just so unappealing (if only they showed more of the dynamics between the cast, which is what I think makes the movie great) that I really didn't pay attention much attention to the film until, like, almost everyone on my f-list was exclaiming (and capslocking, haha) about how great it was. And Robert Downey Jr. was sooooo hot as Tony Stark. ♥ I didn't think he'd make a good Tony Stark, but he ended up being perfect for the role. God, I kept on replaying scenes from the movie in my head all night. XD

Whoa, now you have me all excited over a Wonder Woman movie. And Justice League. And Flash. I'M OBSESSED WITH SUPERHERO MOVIES.

Yay! Superhero obsessed movie fan! ♥ I cant wait for them all. I know the Justice league has been put on the backburner because of the writers strike, I dont know when it'll be moved up again. I did hear they hoped to have Christian Bale and the current (movie) superman reprise their roles. (though I'm not a big Christian Bale as batman fan). I also heard they wanted Anne Hathaway (the devil wears prada, princess diaries) as Wonderwoman. I was like WUT? No! She couldnt pass for an amazon! XD

justice league, and an iron man 2 some time in 2012. i worked at cinema 4 for four years going through high school. and have a whole list of movies that we're coming out up to 2012. but only the one's that may be block busters small movies are all to common. and they only turn the lights on to see what they're cleaning, other wise it's all automated. the cool thing is, i trained or help train the majority of the employees there and the younger ones all look up to me and the older ones give me freebies every now and then, lol. i've got the giant cardboard stands in my room, with a few movie posters. like the charlie's angels 2 stand, jurassic park 3 emblem, and kingdom of heaven castle seige stand. the x-man mini posters that we never put out for customers, and doom movie poster.oh, fun fact the owner of the theater(geff) actually had a porn reel stored under theater 4.lol
colleen and toni and i found it when we were making room for the broken popcorn machine.(so you didnt hear that from me and dont ask colleen the head manager about it too thats geff's stuff). and tomarrow i'm going to see if the manager will let me in for free (for old times sake) to see speed racer.
