They were hiding out in the shower. What perverts.

About a month ago, maybe even a month-and-a-half ago, my mom trapped a spider in a glass jar along with its--I don't know--its companion. The companion spider stopped moving soon after, but the bigger one is still alive. Since the jar has a twist-on lid and there's nothing but the other spider in there, I kind of expected it to die pretty quickly. But apparently this one is a tough guy. It continues to intimidate my mom with its round, quivering abdomen.

My mom is absolutely terrified of it--its the biggest one she's ever seen in the house--, but I think I'll set it free the next time I'm back in Rockport.

I'm gonna eat you!

Just a shot to compare their sizes.

Still trudging my way through my Avatar cross-stitch. Since taking this photo I've stitched more of the light blue from the Water Nation square (and then ran out of that thread color), and I'm halfway done with the Fire Nation one. But, man, do I regret leaving that border space around the squares. I don't want to stitch a bigger border anymore! Maybe I'll find some clear thread and just stitch the squares together or something.

THAT'S PRETTY MUCH MY MOM'S REACTION WHEN SHE FOUND IT.

Hopefully it won't try to eat me when I release it.

My brother always has spiders hiding out his windows so I'm kinda used to seeing decent-sized ones around the house, but this one was so much bigger! Its creepy.

Thanks! The picture in the post doesn't show it, but the cross-stitch has all four elements on it. I can't wait for spring break since then I'll actually have more time to work on it. Such a time-consuming hobby.
