A look at the Final Fantasy IV in-game bestiary revealed that in my quest for getting Yellow Jellies to drop a Rainbow Pudding for me I fought 340 of them. 340. So many. D: Luckily they came in packs of four, so it was just 85 battles, but still. Gah, I'm glad that side-quest is over with.

The monster with the second highest slay count by me is Leshies at 37. By comparison, the Yellow Jelly count is insane.

× I can't believe I failed to mention this here since I've previously established how much anything related to 1UP/EGM/Sore Thumbs makes me spew out in happiness, but Bitmob made its debut a couple of weeks ago. A description of what Bitmob is:

We’re a bit "off the grid" here at Bitmob. Plenty of other sites do a great job of delivering the same news, previews, and reviews you’ve been used to for years. We’re here to do something a little different...to offer an alternative. Instead of covering games the way we’re supposed to, we’ll cover them the way we want to. That means finding new angles on traditional stories, having conversations surrounding a game well after it’s released, looking more behind the scenes, and exploring gaming culture in interesting new ways.
-From About Us

Not only is the Bitmob staff allowed to make posts, but also registered users. Everything that passes their submission guidelines goes into their catchall page, the Mobfeed. These are some I found interesting:

× Jab Strong Fierce is a Street Fighter inspired art show that just ended its run at the Nucleas Gallery in Alhambra, California. The link shows just 15 pieces from the show and they're all quite good. I particularly like Pre-Fight, The Red Cyclone, the untitled Dhalsim piece, and the two by Christian Ward. ...Though, I could have done without so many Chun-Li up-the-skirt paintings. XD

× A bunch of interesting flickr sets:
× A couple of interesting cross-stitch patterns from the Sprite Stitch forums that grabbed my attention: Chibi Sailor Uranus | 4 individual Yoshi patterns with baby versions of Mario, Luigi, Bowzer, and Donkey Kong
