AM PARTIALLY DEAD AT THE MOMENT. Earlier I felt as if a brick was lodged in my throat and I could only speak in whispers or these guttural sounds that I managed to force out. Ugh, damn my family for spreading their sickness to me. I only started feeling somewhat better when I came home from class, threw up, and slept while ANTM played on the tv. Throwing up is both incredibly horrible and sweet, sweet relief. The actual act of it, with all the retching and whatnot, is something I'd prefer to skip, but damn do I feel a hell of a lot better afterward.

Also, someone put a copy of God of War for me in the mailbox. I have no idea who did it.

52 Gaming Similes To Describe Your Relationship -- These sorts of things are always so, so cheesy yet fun to read. Some of my favorites:
  • Katamari Damacy: I want to roll you up into my life.
  • The Legend of Zelda: We just keep doing the same things over and over again, just in slightly different ways.
  • Animal Crossing: All my letters and gifts won’t guarantee that you’ll stay.
  • Super Princess Peach: I’m pushing all your emotional buttons, but you’d rather I just left you alone with your vibe-scepter. Ahahahahah!
  • Pac-Man: You keep stuffing your face and trying to avoid old ghosts.

Ever since OPM was canceled the only PlayStation magazine I read is PSM. Oh how I sometimes which it were the other way around! PSM used to be a magazine I'd read almost completely cover to cover. I miss the days when they'd have comic book artists do their cover art. (One of my favorites is the FFX cover by Jo Chen.) I miss the articles actually having content I'm interested in. (WTF, a 12-page article on Ninja Gaiden Sigma with only two-and-a-half pages of information? If I wanted screenshots, PSM, I'd look online for that. Not that I'm interested in the new Ninja Gaiden game though, just making a point.) I just miss PSM being the humorous, fun magazine it used to be.

...You know, I started off talking about PSM not because I wanted to complain about them (and probably incoherently at this since I'm sick), but because I wanted to share a scan from the latest issue. I'M EASILY DISTRACTED. XD Adam Warren does a comic for their "the end" section each month and I always think its hilarious when he makes references to fanfiction or yaoi or pretty boys or whatever. In this month's (issue #123), he makes fun of Nero from Devil May Cry 4 and well, just take a look at it underneath the cut.

*I'm talking to Gina on my cellphone right now, so please excuse any glaring mistakes in spelling/grammar/whatever. Damn its hard to type and talk at the same time. Where did my multi-tasking skills go?

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! My thanksgiving in a nutshell is that I ate turkey for breakfast and lunch.

Gamers see glitches in new Xbox 360 -- Bwahahaha! Can't say I didn't see that coming. XP

I ♥ this Dante fanart. I first saw this pic on Wolfina's bbs board almost 10 months ago and its still one of the most beautiful DMC fanarts I've ever seen. ♥♥♥

Time for sleep.

EDIT: Oh yeah, best of luck to those working on Black Friday tomorrow er, today. ^^; Hope no one gives you too much grief.

Hmmm...should I watch the new Aeon Flux movie? Maybe I'll just stick with the animated series.

I'm currently watching Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and they are building a home for a man who was blinded after being shot in the head (I believe it was during a robbery). The only reason I'm mentioning this show is because the son made an interesting comment; its his dream to create cybernetic eyes so that his father can see again one day. I think I've been watching GitS: Stand Alone Complex way too much because I automatically had visions of Batou running through my head (...that's kind of scary...having Batou in my head, haha). For those not familiar with Ghost in the Shell, Batou has cybernetic eyes (I think most of his body is cybernetic). It makes me wonder if one day the world shown in Masamune Shirow's manga (specifically GitS and Appleseed) will be filled with cybernetic body parts and/or cybernetic bodies. I could go on and on about this, but I'll spare you from my incoherent techno-babble ramblings.

This is an odd observation, but I've noticed since the release of Devil May Cry 3 a lot of the recent fanart involves Dante and a stripper pole. O_o And I guess since DM3 involves a younger Dante than the previous games, newer fanart showcases his indecently low-slung pants (or in some his pants are unzipped and you can see his pubic hair [apparently Dante likes to go commando]...I feel dirty now that I've said that).

...Or perhaps I've just been unconsciously looking up perverted pictures of Dante. Which is totally plausible. ^_^

Watched Samurai Champloo volume 2 today and I must say its very amusing that Jin has a low tolerance for alcohol. He got drunk over a small cup of sake! And his docileness after drinking is a sharp contrast to Mugen's brash loudness. One of the funniest parts of this volume was when Fuu is talking about the artist who almost had her killed and she says, "I don't really care. I mean, he did give me a great set of hooters." (She's referring to the painting in which she modeled for. He gave her quite an ample pair. ^^;) And suddenly Jin and Mugen are behind her asking, "Set of hooters?" Oh man, I cracked up over that. Even stoic Jin becomes interested once boobs are involved, haha. Gonna go watch volume 1 of Kyo Kara Maoh once I get offline.

what flavor pocky are you?

My reaction to reading news about an Infernal Affairs American remake: NOOOOOOOOOO!! Why must America feel the need to remake perfectly good movies from Hong Kong and Japanese cinema?!

That movie is just so gorgeous and great and NO ONE CAN REPLACE ANDY LAU! Mwahahaha, I am insane! And Jack Nicholson as Anthony Wong's character? The Irish mob instead of the Chinese Triads? Matt Damon as the mole that infiltrates the police department (a.k.a. Andy Lau's Lau character) and Leonardo Dicaprio as the cop mole in the mob (a.k.a. Tony Leung's Yan character)? Nay, I say! Nay! And I don't give a damn if the director is Scorcese.

If it turns out to not be utter crap (like most previous remakes) I will be surprised. And if it does do well, I will be forced to eat a slice of humble pie.

Sorry, I just love Asian cinema, especially ones involving my favorite asian movies stars(i.e. Andy Lau, BEAT Takeshi, Sammi Cheung, Daniel Wu, Edison Chen, Nicholas Tse, Miriam Yeung, Takeshi Kaneshiro, etc.) and it disappoints me when absolutely horrid remakes are made. Maybe I'll be more open to this once I get used to the idea of Damon playing Lau.

On a slightly humorous note, I am amused that some of the actors end up playing characters with their own names. Such as Anthony Wong as Superintendent Wong, Andy Lau as Kim something Lau, Takeshi Kitano (a.k.a BEAT Takeshi) as Kitano. Haha, its like when I make fun of Tony Danza for constantly playing characters named "Tony".

And whoa, I actually found some Saiyuki pics I haven't seen before. ::goes off to save them:: Minekura-sensei draws some of them with such indecently low-slung pants, haha (especially Gojyo, but he's always indecent).

Anyway, here's Andy Lau since I've raved so much about him: (This is a scene from Infernal Affairs, Andy's on the right, Tony Leung on the left.)

Something I found while checking my email: Tractor Drive Suffocated Under Pile of Manure. ....wow. (read and you will understand why this story makes me speechless)

Also, I was looking at fanart at the lovely Wolfina's Devil May Cry bbs board (there's some really wonderful art posted there) and was cracking up over one particular pic. It's one of Dante and Vergil eating breakfast and Vergil has one a blue headband to hold his hair up. Hahaha.....ok, maybe this is just hilarious to me since I play DMC. Its just that a headband is way too girly for someone who acts as bad-ass as Vergil. (I ♥ Dante more though, which I find odd because they are twins. Shouldn't I like them equally? ...I have a strange, strange mind.)

Now I have to go buy some cat litter and cat food. Its "litter box changing day" here. WOOHOO!! (and yes I'm being sarcastic. I love my cats, but changing cat litter is not an enjoyable job.)
