This weekend is A-Kon! I'm sorta planning out what sorts of items I want to look for in the dealers' room, and I have a question for any Gackt fans on the flist: the last album I bought of his was Crescent, which of his albums following the release of that are worth buying? (I should note that I pretty much haven't listened to any of his new songs since Crescent. Kinda fell off the j-music scene around that time.)

I know a few of you on my flist are into photography so maybe you can help me out with something. And I hope you can bear my stupidity ~~since I obviously know nothing about my cameras~~. D:

Currently I own two cameras, a Canon EOS Rebel Ti (SLR) and a Canon Powershot A510 (digital). I don't use the Rebel much these days since I usually take a crazy amount of photos and buying film for it is ridiculous (you don't want to know how much I've spent on it in the past). The Powershot has worked well for me, except when I disable the flash; if I don't steady myself against something (which doesn't work all that well since I have THE SHAKIEST HANDS EVER) or use a tripod my photos are destined to be blurry due to camera shake. My problem is I don't like to lug around a tripod--hell, I don't even own one myself. I want to be able to hold my camera in my hand and have it still focus on me without the flash on and without camera shake.

I actually haven't used any other cameras besides my own, so is this a usual thing for digital cameras? Am I asking for the impossible? Is my camera, despite being from 2005, a mere three years ago, considered an old dinosaur compared to any of the newer models? ~~Or is it just that I'm unaware of simple photography knowledge? OH GOD, I'M RAMBLING, SOMEONE STOP ME.~~ Please feel free to give me a swift kick if I'm making no sense whatsoever.

Note: This post was brought on by my trip to the Texas State Aquarium today. I turned off the flash to my Powershot so as not to disturb the fishes and other wildlife (and also to prevent the flash from glaring off of glass and whatnot), but I was kinda disappointed with the results I had on at least half my photos.

On a related note, I've been on the look-out to buy a new camera sometime in the future, so if you have a specific brand/product I should have a look at, please let me know. Its either that or a PS3.

Unfortunately for me, the Japanese language course was not available this semester. So very disappointing. -_-; Not going to bother posting what classes I'm taking yet since I plan to alter a few of them online before the registration period ends (hopefully the classes I want won't fill up before then).

AHAHAHA, FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS I'LL BE CYCLING THROUGH FEELINGS OF TOTAL ELATION AND SUPREME ANGSTING OVER THE CLASSES I CHOSE. Just the usual. :P And WTF was I thinking signing up for tennis?! ~~Prince of Tennis fantasy what.~~

Our internet connection sucks. So I ask you, my fellow Rockport people (since I'm certain some of you have something other than dial-up~~, the bane of my existence~~), what internet provider should we perhaps consider switching to? Santos wants to get dsl or cable--at least something faster than what we currently have--, but we have no idea which local companies are decent. I ask this in lieu of my brother since he doesn't bother updating his lj anymore.
